Old Business: Mr. Schmidt stated that no one should be on school grounds while school is in session. In addition, Mr. Schmidt has been given permission by Superintendent, Mr. Rehm, to sign police complaints for an arrest of any parties trespassing, etc. This action appears to have helped thwart the negative activity on school grounds.
It was mentioned that there are “No Loitering” signs now posted on doors of the school and that the Police are being called more often to enforce this district policy.
Barbara M stated that she would be willing to approach the Argenios’ paving company about a donation of re-paving the basketball court behind COHES. Mrs. S stated that she also would be willing to approach this family for a donation for our school.
Sue stated that she spoke with Mrs. Prusinski who stated that she had just recently purchased a 2nd Smart Board for the school. Now there is one for every floor. Since the PTO desires to purchase an additional portable Smart Board for the school, Emily R mentioned that Staples might donate toward this purchase. A motion was made by Kristine W and seconded by Barbara M hat the PTO spend up to $3000 to purchase a new portable Smart Board. Mrs. Prusinski will draw up a letter to Staples requesting a donation toward this purchase.
New Business:
Emily R mentioned that there are holes in the perimeter fence around the COHES schoolyard and asked if there were plans for it to be repaired? Mr. Schmidt will submit a work order for the mending to be done.
