Old Business
Smart Board Update – Sue said that she will go ahead and purchase items for Mrs. P. if Staples doesn’t respond by the end of the month.
Tax ID Update – COH PTO is officially tax exempt!! A heads up was given by Cathie W. (visitor from Washingtonville PTO). She said that we might run into problems with the ID#. We might have to keep a card with businesses and update regularly.
New Business
School Supply Fundraiser – Cathie W. from the PTO at Taft Elementary in Washingtonville spoke about a prepackaged school supplies fundraiser. She researched it and said that it was one of the easiest fundraisers that she’s done. She’s gotten positive feedback from parents. A letter goes out to the teachers asking for a general supply list per grade. Then a flyer of interest goes out in the backpacks. Orders are made. PTO can fluff up price per supply box. Deliveries are made the week before school starts. School supplies are individually packaged per student and come with labels with child’s name on it.
FMO T-Shirts – Pam S-H and Emily R. asked PTO to buy t-shirts for Friday Morning Opening Club. The cost is expected to be around $340.
3 Hour Double Dutch/Single Jump Rope – Lisa M. brought a fun event idea to the PTO. The idea is for kids to come and jump rope for 3 hrs. They can do double dutch or single jump rope. Lisa and her girls have attended one in the past and said that is was a lot of fun for all ages.
